CAROL BURNETT

CAROL BURNETT. Something about these bright and kicky 60's fashions reminded me of Ms. Burnett so I remade this doll in her image. It all looks so right now that I have forgotten what the original doll was! I'm so glad we had this time together.

FRANCES AND FRIEND

FRANCES AND FRIEND. I named this sweet little girl doll after my mother who would have turned 100 this year. She shared with me her love of paper dolls as a little girl growing up in the Great Depression and somehow the idea stuck in my mind. I added a little "boyfriend" for her to play with.
Happy Birthday Mama!

BOB HOPE 1940's

BOB HOPE 1940's. This was one half of a two doll set that also featured Dorothy Lamour. I posted the Lamour doll back in October, 2023 but only recently did the cleanup on Bob Hope. So here he is in all is 40's splendor. Check the back posts for Dorothy to go with him.

DEBBIE REYNOLDS 1960's. Debbie was one of the stars who appeared in several paper doll sets during her career. This jauntily posed pair of dolls captures her energy pretty well I think.

WHITE HOUSE GOWNS

An interesting look at changing fashions over time. 2 dolls with fifteen gowns with some bonnets, and as an addition a bi-fold background to pose the ladies in front of.

BARBIE AND KEN 1972

BARBIE AND KEN 1972. Everybody's favorite fashion dolls finally went Mod in the 70's. This set is particularly well drawn and I can attest that the clothes are pretty accurate since I was a teenager myself back then! I never wore paisley print slacks but I did have a blue shirt very similar to the one pictured here for Ken.

VERA ELLEN - FILM FASHIONS

VERA ELLEN - FILM FASHIONS. There was hardly a film musical of the 1950's that didn't feature lovely Vera Ellen dancing. Whether wit...
