4 CAMPUS QUEENS.

There were a number of Campus Queen sets issued. I posted a different one back at the beginning of February. This colorful set features more doll-like figures with some lovely clothes.

Hibernation time is almost over here in New Mexico where we have short Winters. The birds and squirrels are beginning to stir again. What better time for those Bushytails to make an appearance?

Just as the Barbie paper dolls mirrored the actual dolls Daisy here is a paper version of the German bisque dolls popular in Victorian England. The J. W. Spear & Sons company produced this vividly colored lithographed doll.

Cut and colorful 1960's "fashions" are on display here. I especially like the T shirts with slogans. ZOWIE!

There is something very Audrey Hepburn like about the dresses for this doll. Very ROMAN HOLIDAY or SABRINA, very French.

[The original doll had a visual flaw. The left leg was drawn too high in back so I have digitally corrected this and now she stands much better.]

HERE COMES THE BRIDE.

There's no counting the number of wedding themed paper doll sets that were issued over the years. This one is just a bit strange. For one thing the Bride and Maid of Honor dresses are hideous. And why do the Best Man and Maid of Honor have pajamas? What's going on there? Finally, by the expressions on the doll's faces they all seem to have some naughty little secret, even the Flower Girl! Maybe it's just my imagination but it seems the artist was pulling our leg here. 

Anyway, whatever the dolls are up to they have a lovely bi-fold background to pose in front of.....

400TH POST! - EMMA PEEL RETURNS!

Yes it's our 400th post here at Paperdollapalooza and what better way to celebrate than the return of one of my own paper doll creations from back in 2023. In case anyone missed it I was struck by the fact that Diana Rigg in her iconic TV role had never received a proper paper doll set, so I made my own.

 The fashions presented cover all of the major outfits she sported in her two seasons on the hit ABC television series as originally designed by John Bates & Alun Jones.

Emma's partner in crime solving escapades John Steed is represented in a bi-fold background for her to show off the Mod 1960's styles in front of.
