SUSAN DEY - PARTRIDGE FAMILY.

This is a strange little set. David Cassidy was the breakout teen star for the hit TV show THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY in the late 1960's but his TV sister Susan Dey was marketed, to girls in particular, as a role model in both fashion and otherwise. These outfits, inspired by Laura Ashley fashions which were popular at the time, really reflect that wholesome image.

I've made up a tri-fold background for the dolls to be posed in front of  that also reflects the Pop Art style that was popular in the late 60's and early 70's.

And I couldn't resist compiling these little bits of wisdom attributed to Susan which graced some of the clothing sheets. These gave this set the feel of a teen magazine so popular at the time and I'm sure little girls just ate it all up.
