The longest running sitcom in television history (435 episodes over 14 seasons from 1952 - 1966) THE ADVENTURES OF OZZIE AND HARRIET starred real life husband and wife Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard Nelson. Ozzie was a bandleader and Harriet a singer. They began their very popular pairing on radio before transitioning to the early days of television with a half hour show featuring their young sons David and Ricky. Ricky went on to popularity as a singer in his own right.
