GULLIVER'S TRAVELS 1939 - PART ONE.
This pristine set was issued to coincide with the release of the Fleischer Brothers animated feature film from 1939. The Fleischers were best known for their Betty Boop and Popeye animated cartoons. Following the success of Disney's SNOW WHITE in 1937 the brothers went to great expense to build a brand new studio and produce their own feature film.
Although GULLIVER was also a success at the box office it never made back it's production cost and the Fleischer Studio closed for good in 1942.
I have created a tri-fold background to pose the many dolls from this set in front of. Since it is such a large set I will be posting the remainder of it over the next few days.
