HOOTENANNY

HOOTENANNY.
Hootenanny was a popular television program in the early 1960's. Broadcast from college campuses and featuring folk music artists and groups like The New Christy Minstrels.
I'm not sure what these four lovely ladies have to do with any of that, aside from Diane with her guitar, but this was a tie-in product put out in 1963. 
Of course this show and the music it promoted would be moved swiftly to the back burner with the arrival of a little group from England.....the Beatles.
