HALLOWEEN PARTY DAY 10 - DIA DE LOS MUERTOS.
November first is traditionally All Saints Day or in Mexico as the Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos. An altar is prepared in the home and offerings of food and drink are placed upon it to honor the departed ancestors. This has grown over the years into a wider celebration with a Mardi Gras vibe.
These dolls of skeletons all dressed up are called Calavera Catrinas and have become a part of the festivities.
