THE KELLY SISTERS

THE KELLY SISTERS. Doll #1 is Kathleen and Doll #2 is Nora. And this is another repurposed Shirley Temple set from the 1930's. The publishers came up with these two fictitious "sisters" as a way to reissue the Temple sets in the 1940's after Shirley's popularity had waned. They just added some new heads but I'm sure it was obvious even to little girls that these fashions were at least a decade out of date.
A fairly common practice in the paper doll world.
