MARY MARTIN. She was the Queen of Broadway in the 1940's, 50's and 60's. Such shows as SOUTH PACIFIC, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN and THE SOUND OF MUSIC were featured vehicles for her talent. This is a beautiful set with vibrant outfits befitting her star status.
[ And Mary was from my hometown of Weatherford, Texas. My mother and her cousin took dance lessons from her back in the 1930's before she took off for Broadway and stardom.]
