LOST HORIZON.
This was a big budget musical remake of the classic 1937 Frank Capra film. It is also laughably bad and one of the biggest box office flops of all time. This makes the many merchandising tie-ins, such as this paper doll set, kind of strange and fairly collectible today.
The outfits depicted here seem to mirror the film's costumes pretty well although the set still seems somehow incomplete. I have made a couple of adjustments digitally by flipping the Richard and Harry dolls. This allows them to be grouped facing their female counterparts for better display. And along those lines I have included a tri-fold background to display the dolls in front of.
So, even though this 1973 movie was a disaster, now the paper doll set at least is a success.
