LAUREN BACALL

LAUREN BACALL. A style icon in any decade. I'll end the first year of this blog with a great star and an equally great wardrobe.
Thanks for following along and here's looking forward to more fun paper dolls in the New Year!

ANN SHERIDAN

ANN SHERIDAN. Sultry actress of the 1940's when this set was produced. The lovely dolls actually resemble her and the fashions are smart and on point for the period. This is also interesting as an example of wartime austerity as reflected in the limited color palette and less than perfect quality of the paper used.

A BASIC EASEL STAND FOR PAPER DOLLS. This is the pattern that I use to make stands for the dolls. The easel when folded back should be centered on the back of the doll if possible. It is sometimes necessary to trim the bases around the legs so they are not visible from the front.
